So, you've reached University (finally!) and you think you need something other than your college bar to keep you occupied when your not studying hard! Being in Lancaster it's hard not to be aware of the Lake District poking through the Morecambe bay mist and for many people, myself included, the proximity of one of the UK's most beautiful areas is a great excuse to explore the outdoors and do weird and wonderful things involving hiking boots, tents and big hills!

If, like me, this sort of thing appeals to you, then the Lancaster University Backpackers Association is the club for you. We pride ourselves on being a small, friendly outdoor pursuits club who encourage people with all levels of fitness and experience to enjoy the countryside, make friends and basically just have a laugh.
